Gardening Club

The Kaust Gardening Club consists of several community members that aim to promote the love of gardening, floral design and environmental responsibility.

The team members embrace the benefits of gardening through the connection with nature, the hands on exercise, the aesthetic results, but also exchange their knowledge over challenges and success stories.

Activities and Events

Monthly meetings are held in the Kaust Children’s Center. (Google maps link here.) The meeting is usually held on the fourth Tuesday of the month, from 7-8:30 p.m.  They also offer special field trips during the cooler months to nearby oases and plant nurseries. The club takes a break in July and August.

For most meetings they host speakers on a broad range of topics, such as:

  • sustainable gardening in the desert
  • the native plants of Saudi Arabia
  • the history of date palms
  • Cacti and Succulents
  • The new MBS botanical park in Riyadh, etc.
